This blog is a little late in coming. I've been saving these pictures for a bit. This was my favorite wedding that I did last year. The ceremony was at the beautiful Garret Memorial Chapel. A chapel built over 80 years ago completely out of stone with an ornate interior and stained glass windows. It is located at the bluff of Keuka Lake overlooking the water. The location is perfect for a small wedding ceremony which is exactly what Brian and Susan wanted.
I was thrilled knowing that I had the chance to photograph a wedding at the Garret Chapel. The ceremony was lovely. The new couple had their close friends and family in the old church. After the ceremony was over, we had a chance to get some great photos.
The reception was at the docks of the Lakeside Restaurant & Tavern in Hammondsport, NY. The wedding party (and myself) took a boat across Keuka lake to the restaurant for the introduction of the newlyweds. The weather made for a perfect reception outdoors on the lake.
I absolutely loved being the wedding photographer at this wedding. Brian and Susan are a great couple and have wonderful friends at family. I loved how easy it was to capture genuine joy and expressions everywhere. There were so many natural candid moments to enjoy in the photographs. Best wishes to you both, Brian and Susan!
