Brian and Elizabeth's Wedding - Grand Victorian Inn in Sayre, PA
We joined the girls at Stilletos Hair & Nails for the first stop of the day. We were impressed by Stilletos spacious and accommodating salon. From there we crossed the state line to meet the guys at the Grand Victorian Inn…a mile away. My wedding planner wife and assistant for the day, Ria, pinned boutonnierres on the groom and groomsmen while I got some portraits. From there we rushed to Tioga Gardens for special portraits before the day’s thunderstorms began. Tioga Gardens had been the original location for the ceremony but the impending weather forced plans to change. Still, we enjoyed beautiful sunny conditions for Brian and Elizabeth’s first look.
Speaking of changed plans, we discovered during the ceremony that Elizabeth’s veil had been left at the Grand Victorian, 20 minutes away from Lakeview Chapel where the ceremony had been relocated to. Ria rose to the occasion and drove back to the hotel to retrieve the veil while our talented Dj and MC, Celebrations with DeRue entertained the guests with comedy videos on marriage. Better late than never, the ceremony was beautiful and was accompanied by triumphant rolls of thunder from the storms outside.
The wedding Reception at the Grand Victorian Inn was simply a blast! DeRue made sure there was never a dull moment during the party. I was amazed at his energy and charisma! The venue itself was very accommodating and friendly. They didn’t even mind when our smoke grenades and sparklers for photos smoked up the parking lot. At least…they didn’t say anything about it.
My best wishes to Brian and Elizabeth! What an adventure your wedding day was. I hope that your lives together bring as much life to you as being your wedding photographer brought to me!
