I actually met Elliot before I met Lizzie. I was at my booth for a Rochester bridal expo and Elliot, also a photographer, came up to talk shop a bit. Several months after this, when I was back at the same show again Elliot introduced me to Lizzie who now had a sparkling ring on her hand. I was very happy to photograph for these two, as well as discover a few mutual friends who also attended the wedding!
The day began with capturing some “getting ready” shots of Lizzie and the girls at Cheri' Marie Salon and Bridal Lounge. With lots of time before the ceremony, we got some candid photos of everyone helping Lizzie get ready as well as a few portraits of the bride herself.
We proceeded to Mill Creek Golf Club for the ceremony. Since Elliot was not to see Lizzie until she walked down the aisle, he was blindfolded while they shared a prayer together a few minutes before the ceremony began. The weather was wonderful for the outdoor ceremony. The staff at the club were wonderful to work with and I had no worries of things going off schedule or lack of communication.
The reception afterwards lacked nothing thanks to Just Wright Entertainment who skillfully kept everybody energized and enjoying the party! The day concluded with a sparkler send off for the new couple.
On a photographer’s note, Elliot’s knowledge of the industry allowed me to speak “photo language” throughout the day, which allowed me to relax and work efficiently with them. Thanks so much to you both, Elliot and Lizzie! Best wishes to both of you!
Special thanks to Ryan Palm Films for the great videography work! Check out his video here.
