Joe’s passion is savoring the silence and the beauty in nature. He loves taking hikes, camping with his wife and kids, and of course, capturing images of the beautiful landscapes and nature scenes around him. Although the Finger Lakes has an abundance of scenes to photograph, Joe also loves to travel to explore new locations especially in the US to capture on his camera.

Joe has been a full-time, freelance photographer most of his adult life but moved into landscape photography in an effort to add more of the peace and serenity that he found in the work. Often, you can find him in nearby parks and trails (mostly, the Finger Lakes Trail) hiking or sitting still behind his camera. Or he might be simply sitting by a fire with his friends and family, sipping a hot drink, or smoking a pipe, enjoying the quiet and the stillness only the forest can bring.

You probably won’t ever literally find Joe however. He prefers to do his landscape photography alone in non-crowded locations. Joe loves to capture scenes that are less known or less easily accessible and require a bit of leg work to get to.
